Soundcheck Practice Studios is operated by Grimes and Co., LLC, located at 110 Orr Street, Columbia, MO 65201. This policy covers our website, our membership and booking systems, and our physical studio location. Throughout this page, "Soundcheck," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Grimes and Co., LLC.

02Information We Collect

We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us.

Information you give us directly

• Name, email address, and phone number when you sign up for our newsletter, express interest in membership, or create an account.
• Billing information when you purchase a membership, a credit-hour package, or coaching sessions. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe, and by our booking platform's payment integration. We do not store your full card number on our own systems.
• Booking and scheduling details when you reserve studio time.
• Any messages you send us by email, text, or through our website.

Information collected automatically

• Basic website usage data (pages viewed, general location, device and browser type) through standard website analytics and cookies.
• Email engagement data, such as whether a marketing email was opened or a link was clicked, through our email platform.

Information collected on-site

• Security camera footage in common areas of the studio, as disclosed in our Terms of Service. This footage is used for safety, security, and resolving damage or equipment disputes.
• Building access records, such as when a temporary door PIN or Touch Pass is used to enter the space, tied to your member account.

03How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your membership or booking account.
• Process payments and send billing communications.
• Provide keyless, tap-to-enter access to the studio and manage door credentials.
• Communicate with you about bookings, membership changes, or account issues.
• Send marketing emails about membership, events like Nightcap, and studio updates, when you have opted in or have an existing relationship with us.
• Maintain the safety and security of the studio, including reviewing camera footage when there is a reported issue, damage, or theft.
• Improve our website and services based on how they are used.

04How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run Soundcheck, and only as needed for them to do their job. These include:

We may also share information if required to do so by law, to protect the safety of our members and staff, or in connection with a change in ownership of the business, such as a merger or sale.

05Text Messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your booking, membership, or account, and, if you separately opt in, marketing messages about Soundcheck events and offers.

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Message frequency varies.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any membership, package, or service.
• Your phone number and consent to receive texts (your text messaging originator opt-in data and consent) are used only to send you the messages you signed up for and are never shared with or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

06Security Cameras & On-Site Monitoring

Soundcheck is a 24/7, unstaffed space, and we use security cameras in common areas to keep members and equipment safe. Cameras are not placed inside private practice rooms during sessions. Footage may be reviewed in connection with a reported incident, damage to equipment, or theft, and may be shared with the account holder involved or, if necessary, with law enforcement.

07Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to remember basic preferences. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

08Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. Security camera footage is retained for a limited period and then automatically overwritten, unless it has been preserved in connection with a reported incident.

09Your Choices

• Marketing emails: every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.
• Account information: you can ask us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to what we need to keep for billing, legal, or safety reasons.
• Door access: access credentials are deactivated when a membership ends or is cancelled.

10Minors

Soundcheck is intended for use by adults. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must register on your behalf and agree to our Terms of Service, as described there. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental involvement.

11Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including relying on established, reputable providers like Stripe for payment handling. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us.

12Third-Party Links

Our website and emails may link to third-party sites and services, such as Allbooked, Eventbrite, or Stripe's own hosted pages. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

13Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our tools or practices change. If we make a material change, we will post the updated policy here with a new effective date, and where appropriate, notify members by email.

14Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
